All our pigs are registered, purebred American Mulefoot Hog stock out of Virginia lines that date back to original Missouri lineage.   Mulefoot pigs, hogs or pork, limited availability, central Virginia.  Meet-ups or delivery within reason.

Nice cross of Boer with Nubian and Kiko, make some nice parasite-resistant, tough hooved kids.

Three related December bucklings will be ready when you are.  We have one gorgeous July 5, 2022 doeling, Miss Liberty, ready to be trained for milking.  (“She’s just a Bebe.”)

Our foundation SweetGrass turkey Tom, Burky, shares the yard with HennyHen and Purky, bringing personality to our heritage farm in Appomattox County, VA.  They live with chicken broilers and layers, and Gretel, our critically endangered Pomeranian goose breed.

Gateway Farm livestock include cross kids that are polled, horned, solid red, mostly black or Boer paints.  Singletons, twins, triplets, quads and quintuplets are the name of the game on this little heritage farm!

ClaraBelle, our A2/A2 tested American Jersey heifer has proven not only a pasture ornament, but a protector of the goat herd.  As a small heritage farm in central Virginia,  we hope to provide dairy products in some form in the future.  CB shared the pasture with General Lee, a mid-mini Jersey bull (A1/A2), until Spring, 2023.

We’ve added A-1 & Heinz 57, two Wagyu/Angus cross steers.  

We raise some BYM birds from purebred hatchery stock, such as Jersey Giant, Wyandotte, Australorp, Americana, Lt. Brahma, Cuckoo Maran and others.  Egg, chick and broodie hen sales will start up again in 2024 along with planned processed poultry.  

Our birds free range and are definitely not vegan!
